There are over 200 people who are involved in various ways in the organisations of the parish. Each one of these is a valued part of the parish team. But there are 6 people who make up the ministry team.

Fr Andrew Unsworth After Ordination in 2002 in Wigan Andrew did further studies for almost 5 years. He is now delighted to be in parish ministry. |

Sr Sara Hynes has worked in Queen of Martyrs as a Parish Sister since 1990. Prior to that she taught for many years in Gillmoss Catholic PrimaryVSchool (now known as Our Lady and St Swithin). Sr Sara is a Salesian Sister. Her main responsibility in the parish is in connection with the Little Church and with sacramental preparation. |
| Sr Kathleen Buckley is a sister of the congregation of The Sacred Heart of Mary. Kathleen has worked in St Philomena's parish since 1999. She works to co-ordinate parish life, paricularly in relation to the school - home - parish partnership. | |
Kara Brown is our shared parish pastoral and financial administrator. She comes from the deep south (in America) and we share her with Holy Name Parish. |

| Malcolm Fletcher is married with two teenage sons; he works full time in the health service. He is undergoing a training course that will lead to ordination as a Deacon. As a deacon he will have a two fold role within the parish community he will be involved in liturgical celebrations (such as Baptism) and he will have a leading role to play in ensuring that all in our community feel welcome and part of our parish. | |
